How Sweet it is to be Loved by You

So this is beyond a scrapbooking post. This is an ode to my wonderful friends. When I say there are not words I mean it. I can attempt to describe what an amazing amount of support, laughter, and fun they have given me, especially over the last year, but I don't think I could ever succeed. I have never felt a bond like this with any other group of people in my life. Each of us has had a lot of ups and downs the past couple years, and I don't think they are over yet either. And I would like to think that a bond like this won't change, but even if it does, I will always be thankful for everything we've been through together and all the amazing memories I have. Thank you guys, for everything you have ever done. I love you all incredibly!

And by the way, they didn't coordinate their outfits at all. They just all happened to wear cool (as in the opposite of warm) colors. THAT'S how awesome they are!

An End

The end to a wonderful long weekend. Fun at the beach in the evening with a stop to see Henry and Rabi the next day (as well as my Aunt and Uncle and Vic's ice cream). I love the film strips (which I used in a lot of my Michgian pages) because they allow you to have even more photos on a page but in an organized manner!

a fair is a veritable smorgasbord...

I love the whimsical feeling of this page! I bought the fair stickers to use just for this! I don't know why I associate light pink with the word whimsical but I do and the combination with green card stock as well gives a playful childlike feeling!

Fun Times

So we had a lot of fun NOT on the beach as well. Most of the text are funny things that were said during the weekend that still make me smile :) we have a notebook full of funny little stories, but it is unfortunately in the hands of a friend of mine, so these are the ones from memory!

Sand, Sand, Sand!

These are our photos from our multiple trips to the beach! (Although its a L-A-K-E, not an ocean, as Kay had to constantly remind us...) I wanted to continue the water motif with the raindrop shapes but decided that if all the photos where like that the page would lack a heaviness it needed so the strips at the bottom give the page a distinct floor and "holds it down" so the page doesn't feel so aimless and as if the photos are just floating around on the page.

The beginning of the Marvelous Michigan Migration

Our summer road trip to Ludington, MI. A seven hour drive interrupted with a wonderful flat tire. The coke can represents our dear friend Anna who was unable to come with us because she had pneumonia! :/ I bought the background paper ahead of time because I already knew, of course, that I would be scrapbooking the trip. The color scheme is then based on the road trip stickers I bought and used!

Yummy!

I was super excited about this page because the photos are candid and fun AND its about cupcakes :) I wanted sweet and simple and I think that's what I got!

Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something BLUE

I developed these photos in black and white because I thought it would be a nice change in pace and unifying. However, my cousin's color of choice for the wedding was Tiffany blue and I was a little upset that color couldn't be included in the photos. So instead I made the paper blue and also included some invitation and table decoration tidbits with that wonderful blue. The rings are actually from a wedding shower game from a month before!

No Doubt about it

The wonderful wackiness of this page stems from the fact that the photos were taken at a "No Doubt" concert. And anyone who has ever seen Gwen Stefani can guess just how crazily awesome this show is! The word stickers I immediately bought when I saw them because they were made for my friends specifically (I am sure of it). They complete the devil-may-care attitude of the page :)

Live a Colorful Life

Thank you to my mom and my best friend for taking these photos. I pick some of the more candid ones to mix in with the ones I actually handed out. The color scheme is completely based off the stickers that say "Live a colorful life" because it defines my goal in life completely and is very important to me!

Summa Cum Laude

Once again some collaging of photos, invite clippings and pieces off graduation decorations...All tied together with the wonderful green of the Zionsville Eagles

We Made it!

Somehow I only photographed one of the two pages for this spread...but the second page is very similar to the first. I used a lot of candid photos (on the second page there is a picture of me laughing after I fell down). A simpler page but used quotes to jazz it up. The background paper with its pastel colors gives the page a sentimental feeling even with the boldness of the graduation gowns.

Academia

I like the more muted colors used for this spread and the collage effect of the photo and newspaper clippings as well as the add-in of the essay- you can untie the ribbon and read it :)
I used m

Open Houses

Fun pastel colors for the hint of summer in these photos as the school year ends! Lots of playing around with word stickers. I love them because they can express all sorts of moods and themes depending on what words you choose.

Senior Days

I love the playful color scheme and patterns :) Based the whole page off of a set of stickers I bought. Sometimes I do that and sometimes I base the stickers I use off the page, it changes from project to project.

Oh What a Night!

Fun bright colors and I love the sticker that says Friends! ties the colors of everyone's dresses together in the page.

Boxing Day!

We celebrate boxing day with family friends we met in England and now live nearby. I like this spread because the left side I did something different with cutting out the figures and the right side has a single, rather hilarious, photo. And of course I love the box motif!

We Wish you a Merry Christmas!

I had some vintage-like christmas paper (From Michael's) and a set of detailed Christmas stickers that went together perfectly!

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Ice Skating! I love this page because of its feminine and eclectic vintage charm :) I used collected old pieces, new things, and quote stickers with definitions of different appropriate words (I adore those stickers).

Goofing Off

The variety of shapes makes the page fun! (I love the three circles on the side of the left page!) The quote on an old vintage-esque decoration is great as well.

Cleopatra Naomi Lavazza

Sweet and simple. One of the highlights of the page is the journaling :)

Friday Night Lights

More football...I particullarily love the journaling on this one. I took white out and then stamped over it. It took awhile but the effect is great!

The GOP

This is a funny page to me because it was an experience I do not regret at all but I ended up not voting for them... still glad I went though and it was fun to be part of the political process. The color theme is pretty obvious and I drew a flag by hand on the background.

Mamma Mia Pizzeria!

This night is very close to my heart and the page was a blast to do because of the colors (red and yellow for cheese and pizza sauce and pepperoni!). I realize there is not a single photo of pizza on the page but this fun-filled evening was after a night at Monical's pizza. There is once again a feel-good quote and a bit of journaling in which I combined stickers which was new and different!

P-A-R-T-Y

I debated on what to do for this page for a really long time. I wanted to do something new and different...and eventually I found this idea (can't remember where). The ribbon is all across the bottom 2/3 of the page and the photos are slipped under one of the pieces of ribbon so that it was a little like weaving the photos and ribbon together. It was a pain to glue down but it looked so nice when I was done! There is also a quote on the first page which is something I am fond of as well. I am a sucker for cheesy sayings and quotations :)

I Left my Heart in San Francisco

Look carefully- here is another page with a hidden image. The photos stacked at both sides and outlined in red are joined by red ribbon in a U shape and at the bottom. Look like anything? The golden gate bridge! The pictures outline in white are suppose to represent the low clouds and fog, but obviously having transparent photos wouldn't be very desirable. The title of the page is of course from the song of the same name!
